I have been lucky enough to work in photography for over 20 years.
I was the picture editor of the London Evening Standard website when it first went live in 1997. London soon became my passion. And in 2001 I founded the Londonstills Picture Library supplying images of contemporary London for editorial, commercial and creative use worldwide. In 2007 I founded Londonstills Photo Art (now rickyleaver.com) to make a very small selection of my work available as photo fine art - the pictures you see today on this website. My cityscapes capture London as a colourful, throbbing, metropolis, ever changing, while still retaining its timeless quality.
ENGLAND & BEYOND
I am a country boy at heart, brought up in the Essex marshlands. Since 2014 I have been venturing out of the Big Smoke into The Sticks. I want to capture the British Isles as a wild and remote island. Beautiful, rugged, dramatic, even savage. The perfect antidote to my London work.
My sole aim is to create beautiful works of art that will last for ever and be treasured. Each piece is a signed limited edition. It is printed, mounted and framed using the highest possible production values to create the perfect artwork for you.
